911, what’s your emergency?
When you need help, they’re the ones to answer the phone. While you may not see them, the men and women in our Communications Center are literal first responders and often life savers.
As we celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we invite you to meet some of our dispatchers and call takers in our latest episode of Inside JSO.
We can’t thank them enough for working around the clock to answer 911 and non-emergency calls, get help on the way, and make sure chaotic situations remain calm.

Inside JSO is the official podcast of the Jacksonville (FL) Sheriff’s Office. Too often, stories about law enforcement and our agency are told from the outside looking in. Now, we’re opening the doors and giving you a seat at the table. From major investigations to community engagement, from public safety tips and addressing the concerns you have directly, you’ll hear it all directly from your JSO. We believe in full transparency and accountability because we are YOUR law enforcement agency, and we have nothing to hide.
