Bobby Allison Motorsports opened this race shop in 1990 with Jimmy Fennig as crew chief. Today we have both Jimmy and Jeffrey Fennig here to tell us what life was like back in the golden era!

After Bobby Allison's career ending crash at Pocono in 1988, a group of family and investors came together to form Bobby Allison Motorsports with the number 12 Raybestos car in the Winston Cup Series. The team was mostly comprised of former Stavola Brothers Racing crew who worked on Bobby's car over there. Jimmy Fennig (who later became known for winning with Mark Martin and Kurt Busch at Roush) became crew chief of the team. Jimmy's brother Jeffrey Fennig left his job at Jerry Gunderman's ASA team in Milwaukee and came to work for the team as a fabricator.
The team had drivers such as Hut Stricklin, Jimmy Spencer, Mike Alexander, and Derrike Cope before closing its doors in 1996 due to lack of sponsorship. Today the shop in Concord NC is occupied by Rev Racing, who races in the ARCA Menards and Craftsman Truck Series. It is located right behind the former Alan Kulwicki Racing building in the complex right behind Charlotte Motor Speedway.
