Donlavey Racing in Richmond Virginia has not run a NASCAR race since 2002, but there are still parts on the shelf! This is a real time warp back to the late 90s Golden Era of Winston Cup NASCAR.

The race shop has survived almost untouched from its last race attempts in 2004 thanks to long time Donlavey shop foreman Kenneth "Ding" Bell, who now owns the building. Ding shows us around the shop where he has worked since 1969 along with a few other former crew members. Mark Irving brought his 1993 Forth Thunderbird raced by Bobby Hillin and Mike Wallace over to the shop to add to the already mega nostalgic effect of the shop tour. There's leftover Heilig Meyers crew uniforms and all kinds of stuff still hanging around inside! Donlavey Racing is best known for the 70s Truxmore sponsored cars, Ken Schrader's big break in the Red Baron Pizza car, and the Heilig Meyers cars with Dick Trickle. Junie used to work on garbage trucks during the day and the volunteer employees would work on race cars at night!
