Welcome to Cologne Germany! In this video Rich Piana and Chanel share their visit to Germany and the first stop will be at the amazing and awesome Cathedral in Cologne! It is 550 feet of amazing and inspiring. This cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires. The towers for its two huge spires give the cathedral the largest facade of any church in the world!
This amazing structure took 632 years to build. It was started in 1248 and didn't complete until 1880. It was bombed 14 times in WWII. It houses the largest swinging church bell in the world.
Three other churches have stood where the Cathedral is today.
It was built to house the 'remains of the Three Kings' and there are 6 million visitors every year.
