In this Open House tour, interior designer Vanessa DeLeon opens the doors to a sophisticated pied-à-terre located in Hudson Yards that was designed for clients who love to entertain and desired a home that feels glamorous yet functional. Throughout the apartment, Vanessa balances clean contemporary lines with richly layered finishes in what she describes as “glamolistic” design: fusion of glamour and minimalism inspired by the elegance of the 1920s and forward-thinking creativity of the 2040s.
The tour kicks off in a dramatic 40 foot entry gallery wrapped in textured wall coverings that soften the scale of the corridor and create a sense of anticipation on arrival. A curated art wall by Oliver Gal introduces a playful personal detail with custom pieces inspired by the homeowners’ favorite cocktails, including an espresso martini and a “make it a double” motif that reflects the couple’s fun entertaining style.
From there, the apartment opens into a light-filled entertainment space framed by remarkable southern, eastern, and western exposures. Sunlight streams across the home throughout the day, shifting the mood from bright morning light to a warm evening glow over the Manhattan skyline. Originally conceived as separate living and dining rooms, the layout was reimagined into a more relaxed lounge centered around conversation and gathering. A custom banquette anchors the space, inviting guests to settle in with cocktails as the city stretches beyond the windows.

Ombre wall coverings transition gradually from dark to light, echoing the changing daylight that pours into the apartment, while upholstered seating carries the same tonal gradient across the lounge. Mirrors flanking the bed multiply the skyline from every angle so that the city feels woven into the room day and night.
