It is an honour to present to you the full-immersion-worthy sounds of insectarium, first of all in this video I made for the divinely epic closing track from 'The Necrophage Emerges Divine', and next week by releasing the album on Owlripper. This is one you should get fully comfortable for, switch the lights out, find the biggest screen you have, and plug the headphones in. I promise a wonderous trip to another universe for the senses. insectarium is a master crafter of spacious and fantastic dark ambient sounds, and this is my favourite track of his, with delicate early Autechre-esque rhythms in there as well. I hope you will enjoy.
"The necrophage represents our lowest of the low moments in our life. The album is a representation of someone going through stages of being nothing and becoming something. We are ignored, question “why me,” try to change, try to communicate with others, but end up feeling like we are never good enough. Or it may be that we feel that we are good enough, but never measure up to what others think; but in a state of mind, we can be either. It is our choice and we need to figure it out. In the end, the necrophage rises above all and is divine in its own existence."
