Georgia-Pacific's corrugated facility in Augusta, Georgia, was awarded the Fibre Box Association’s 'Innovation in Safety' Achievement Award for the development and implementation of a new tool that addresses major safety risks in the corrugated process. Previously, employees faced hazards like extreme heat and pinch points while checking gaps on the single facer. The innovative tool now allows operators to perform this task safely from outside the machine, significantly improving workplace safety.
