When reliability manager Harold Summers identified a critical safety risk in a maintenance task at our corrugated plant in Martinsville, Virginia, he dedicated a decade to developing the innovative threader winder machine. It significantly reduces the risks associated with changing the massive double backer belts. It’s also faster and more efficient.

The innovation has earned Martinsville Corrugated the ‘Innovation in Safety’ Achievement Award from the Fibre Box Association. Summers' innovation began with one focus: making sure employees go home the way they showed up to work.
