I love working with the Pattern along Path path effect in Inkscape. It's a versatile, quick, and easy-to-edit way to create designs along any path.
In this video, I want to show you how to use the path effect alongside the Shape Builder Tool to create a multicoloured infinite loop [and other tracks like it].

![Affinity Designer Timelapse - Game Art Creation & Character Design - Create a wise green Alien
This is a timelapse video from 2Dgameartguru.com of a character creation process in Affinity Designer.
I am working with shapes and colours to create a game character from scratch - and without a concept [it was 2.30am and I just wanted to have some fun ;)].
Most of the functionality shown in the video can be created with other software tools such as Adobes Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.

![Inkscape Mini Tutorial - Using Geometric Grids with the Shape Builder
In this video, I will show you how to use basic geometric grids with the shape builder tool.
The shape builder is one of the great additions in v1.3 of Inkscape. Once you get your head around it, it is extremely helpful and pretty straightforward. This video shows the use of the geometric grids I designed for an easy entry into Shapebuilder. Open a grid from the SVG files, duplicate the base group [in order to keep the base shapes as they get lost in the shape-building process], and get creative with the tool.

![Inkscape Tutorial - Easily Designing Cutouts in Inkscape
In this video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com, I will show you how to quickly and easily create cut-out designs in Inkscape
The design is created by using just basic shapes, the pen tool, the node tool, power strokes, along with Boolean operations [Path Union and Path Difference]. I start with a simple moon and stars screen and create a slightly more complex underwater design in the second half of the video.
Most of the functionality shown in the video can be created with other software tools such as Affinity Designer, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDraw with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.

![Affinity Designer Tutorial - Design Creative Lettering using Pressure Curves
This quick video tutorial explains the use of lines, strokes, and pressure curve adjustments for easy and fast letter creation.
I will show you how to easily manipulate a line with a stroke and a pressure curve into letters. The node tool and alterations to the stroke allow quick changes in the look and feel of your letters - from dynamic or handwritten to graffiti or cartoon.
The pressure curve is a powerful [and somewhat underrated] tool. I love playing with it due to its flexibility and the fact that those shapes can easily be converted via expand to curves.
Most of the functionality shown in the video can be created with other software tools such as Adobes Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.

![Inkscape Video Tutorial - Going through the Basics of the Shape Builder
In this video, I will go through the basics of the shape builder function in Inkscape v1.3.
The shape builder is one of the great additions in v1.3 of Inkscape. Once you get your head around it, it is extremely helpful and pretty straightforward. In this video I will be working with six different simple designs to show you the basics of the tools, the dos, and [some of] the dont.

![Affinity Designer Video Tutorial - Entangled Pencils using the Shape Builder
In this advanced video, I design a T-shirt print using the pen tool, the node tool, and the shape builder in Affinity Designer v2.
I had the idea of entangled pencils as a T-shirt design and recorded the process. The shape builder in v2 of Affinity Designer makes it possible to easily create these interwoven effects. There is a lot of moving nodes, adjusting curves, and trimming involved [which I did speed up for the video - the design took about 45 minutes to create.]
I use symbols for a live preview on a T-shirt mockup and add decoration and grunge effects to the design.
You can see the results in my redbubble store [with 0% markup on my designs - just redbubbles material and print costs].
