Ingfried Hoffmann's Big Band absolutely smash it with a piece called "Carnival". From a November 1966 concert for NDR Jazzworkshop, this song features jazz musicians such as Manfred Schoof, Erich Bachträgl, Ingfried Hoffmann, and others. I'll include a link to the full concert in the comments.

With EPIC solos from trumpeters William McKay and Hans Thomas (in particular McKay), this song is the definition of the word jazz. It has a fantastic beat and solo from Erich Bachträgl. I can see from Erich's face that the song was his workout for the day! McKay's solo is my personal take from it as it goes HARD.
