Earlier this week, I heard the Lord say… "Not all who are exalted in the world are exalted by Me."
In a world filled with self-established influencers and experts, the Lord is urging His beloved to be careful who we allow to influence our walk and relationship with Him. Allowing Him to unexalt those in our lives who weren't exalted by Him.
Romans 13:1 NASB
Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Although scripture makes it clear here that every leader in our life is established by God. Not every leader we've established in our lives is established by Him.
At the beginning of this year, I released a prophetic word, a warning to this body and the body as a whole, to limit the voices we are listening to down to two or three key voices, voices ordained by God. Also, the word instructed us to put down most books and to dive into the Bible once more.
At the time, I released the word out of obedience, and now I have a better understanding as to why.
I heard the Lord say, "Tainted love. These proud and boastful influencers are tainted with a self-seeking spirit. A spirit that has convinced them that they are positioned higher than they truly are. In truth, they are digging graves, shallow graves that the enemy will use to bury themselves and their followers."
Many times, the measure of peace or chaos in our hearts, minds, and lives can be traced back to the leaders we have submitted ourselves to, the leaders whom we have allowed to influence our hearts, our thoughts, our beliefs, and our actions.
