Just showing an old induction coil that my dad had for many years now. I am thinking the induction coil didn't work as well with the MOSFET since the RDS of the W14NK50Z was quite high being 380mΩ (this is normal with high voltage MOSFETs). I only used the W14NK50Z to avoid the MOSFET being killed by the high voltage spikes.
