Indigenous Wisdom - Connecting to the Land with Elder Susie Taylor
My Gran shares growing up LIVING OFF THE LAND - the meaning, memories and life lessons. She talks about her experiences of:
- both her parents providing by hunting and gathering
- attending Indian Day School
- learning to be grateful for a simple life
My Gran is a Indigenous elder, Anishnaabe from Curve Lake First Nation. Like me, and all of my family, she was born and raised, grew up living and working on the Indian Reserve called Mud Lake Indian Reserve Number 35 which is now called Curve Lake First Nation on the Treaty 20 Territory of the Anishinaabeg peoples.
She is an Indigenous Elder, Knowledge Keeper, and knowledge sharer.
