In this Independence Day special session, we discuss the people who were central to India's freedom struggle but were never recorded by mainstream history:

- Kodi Rammurthy Naidu — donated everything he earned from wrestling and his travelling circus to the independence movement. Titled "Indian Hercules" by King George V.
- Haipou Jadonang — Rongmei Naga spiritual leader from Manipur who raised the slogan 'Makam Gwangdi' (Naga Raj) and trained a 500-strong force called 'Riphen'. Guru of Rani Gaidinliu.
- Saraswathi Rajamani — at 16, the youngest spy in the INA. Disguised herself as a boy named 'Mani' to gather intelligence from inside British camps.
- Makhan Singh — the trade unionist who fought for the freedom of two countries, India and Kenya. The first person to demand 'Uhuru Sasa' (Freedom Now).
- Satyanand Stokes — the only American to take part in the Nagpur Congress Session, who campaigned against the begar system and laid the foundation of apple farming in Himachal.
