Indian mound trail at High Cliff State Park has many panther mounds, also twin buffalo mounds and lineal and conical mounds. There are many sites in Wisconsin with Indian Mounds. Around the 5th century bc to the 16th century in the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys most common. Some mounds are Effigy mounds, and others are burial mounds, and these generally effigy mounds. Mounds are protected, and not many left, compared to what there were out there.
