India has achieved a major defence milestone with the successful development of its first indigenous expendable turbojet engine by DRDO's Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) in partnership with Azad Engineering. The engine will power next-generation cruise missiles, UAVs and expendable aerial systems, strengthening India's defence self-reliance and indigenous technology capabilities.
