This is the fourth video in the iNav 5.0 build series for beginners. In this series we will start from the ground up, building the plane, installing the hardware, and installing iNav. We will discuss all the important things along the way, to give you a good start in the hobby. At the end we will go through a pre-maiden checklist, just to make sure that everything is as ready as can be. Then we will fly the plane. The plan is to have a new video every other week until the first flight.
The full iNav 5.0 Beginner's Build Academy can be found at youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtuty5zAsZ_aKbk9h9hbVG-TySq1W4C14
In this video we get our flight controller soldered up. This includes all the pins that we want to use, the main battery power, and the ESC. We install the flight controller in to the AtomRC Dolphin. Then we start thinking about CG and more importantly, where to put all the components to balance the plane on the CG. The prepares us nicely for the next video, which will be setting up the FPV components.

![Updating the ETHOS firmware
[NOTE] There is a more recent video on how to update ETHOS here: https://youtu.be/5Y351hjF5ZA
In this first video of the Exploring ETHOS series, we look at how to update the firmware on your FrSky Tandem transmitter. This is a fairly simple process, if a little on the manual side. But theres nothing really too daunting. Maybe in the future well see a simpler process using a desktop companion. But until then, this is the update process.
If you struggle with computers, I’ve recorded a longer, more in-depth video that may help you with this process. Please feel free to watch that video here https://youtu.be/1RfEdgRIwcQ
** Update **
The naming of the SD card and FLASH drive contents is changing. From version 1.0.11 onwards, if you are using a Tandem transmitter (currently X20 and X20S) you should download the TANDEM_FLASH and TANDEM_SD files.
Between 1.0.6 and 1.0.10 they had been named X20_SD and X20_FLASH, which caused confusion. People thought it was just for that transmitter, and not for the X20S also.
