I have a love/hate relationship with Distress Oxide inks. They always look awful when I first apply them, but in the end, I love the results. So it was with today's project. This is a two-page spread in my handmade art journal. I put down a thin application of acrylic paint and a coat of clear gesso, and then went in with three ink colors. I created some blooms with splashes of water, and then built some small collages and stenciled a Pam Carriker face using Archival ink.
It didn't start out to be another "statement" about covid19, but it kind of ended up that way. Stay safe everyone - until we can be "Happy Together" again, we are "In This Together!"
