For today's video, I used a charcoal sketch taken from my sketchbook to create a page in my Dylusions mixed media journal. Using (or reusing) my art is always a fun way to create a completely different piece than from where it started.
Lots of fluid matte medium layers helped me accomplish this one without too much smudging or smearing. I used inkjet printouts of Stamperia paper scan for my background, then added some Neocolor II with matte medium around the edges. I stamped and painted the charcoal sketch and then added it on top of the background. I added some line work with a Pitt pen, and a shadow around the girls with more charcoal. Finally, I added some die cut leaves at the girls' shoulders. There is a small sentiment in the top corner that reads, "On My Mind." You are all on my mind these days!
