Video description:
This is my own interpretation of Robert W. Chambers short story collection "The King In Yellow" from 1895. It is heavily influenced by story and art of H.P. Lovecraft, the pen and paper Call of Cthulhu by Chaosium Inc and the Arkham Horror board and card game franchise by Fantasy Flight Games.
The original mythos goes as follows: There is a cursed theater play called "The King In Yellow". Everybody reading the play starts decending into madness. The reader gets visions of Hastur (The King In Yellow), the lake Hali and Carcosa (the damned city). The blessed reader also receives visions of The Yellow Sign. Those seeing it are chosen to preapre the kings decent onto our planet.
My video is based on those stories. It's a fanfiction. I'm well aware that this is extremly niche. However I hope that I can reach many fans of the original stories and I had a lot of fun creating this video and craming in as many references as possible. This is packed on with messages and easter eggs. I still believe this is an enjoyable horror video to people not knowing of the original mythos and maybe I can inspire some people to read the stories. I can especially recommend "The King In Yellow" by Robert W. Chambers and the Cthulhu Mythos by H.P. Lovecraft.
Technical note:
Most storytelling is done by mixing the main anime "Mahō Tsukai no Yome" with "Shoujo Kakumei Utena: Adolescence Mokushiroku". There are some support scenes from other anime as well. Additional material ranges from original 3D, original book cover art, fan art and supportive stock videos. Most scenes are done with compositions in After Affects. Adobe's brand new Photoshop neural filters, machine learning and AI effects played a huge role in pulling that video off.
This is a custom extended version of the song. It is lengthed with Adobe Premiere Pro Beta's latest remix tools in Essential Sounds. The crackling in the music is itential by the musical artist and is no encoding error.
This video placed 9th at TOS Contest 2021 storytelling and 6th at the creativity category. Which makes me quiet proud of it!

Mein Beitrag für den Connichi AMV Contest 2025. Riesen Dankeschön und Bussi geht an BBFerdl, der mir den Song geschickt hat. Ohne dich würde es das Video einfach nicht geben! Wie man sich denken kann, war es eine Menge Spaß das Video zu machen.

This is a non commercial fanmade video based on the song 16 Volt - Suffering you.
So this is it. This is my first original live action music video project for my digital film college. I had a very stressful time pulling this off. I made everything from planing, to shooting, to directing and post production. Special thanks go out to my mates Stefan, Alex, JoeJoe and Marcus for assistance during shooting. Without you this video wouldnt be possible in this quality!!!
This is a short story about an everyday guy that is actually a murder. He is good in hiding his inner monster. Thats symbolized by the paper mask that he is wearing. If you want to find out more about his motivations, than you have just to listen to the lyrics. I just hope that the base storyline is clear for everyone.
I had this idea with this song for a long time and due to my film college this was the perfect time to execute it. Time for some technical details!
This video was filmed with my own Canon EOS 7D (720p@50fps) and a Panasonic Leica HVX 200. I used the HVX for the camcorder scenes, because the camera has solid automatic mode and a wide depth of field. This give the shots a perfect camcorder feeling in HD resolution.
Lenses Ive used:
Tamron 28-75mm f2.8
Tamron 17-55mm f2.8
Sigma 50mm f1.4 (I fell in love with this one during shooting. F1.4 is amazing)
The editing was done in Premiere Pro CS5, fx in After Effects CS5 with support of additional plugins like Trapcode Particular and Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks.

I kew it, when I saw the first big trailers: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be a banger of a game. The game was even better than expected. The cutsenes and dialogs are awesome and full of feels. Do yourself a favor and dont watch this video, if you plan to play the game.
This turned out to be my part for the connichi 2025 exclusive GMV contest. It took an unusual long time to get the right song for this. First I thought, that I will go with the band Moderat, but somehow ended up with this song. Im honestly not a fan of most Radiohead songs, but this one sticked to me, ever since Beowulfs 2003 NGE AMV. The influence of Beowulfs video are quite obvious and I hope you dont mind.
Game: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Song: Radiohead - 2+2 = 5 (The Lukewarm)
Recordings were made on PC in 4k with a 4080 SUPER. The game got modded for diasabling UI, freecamera and savegame modding. I beat the game twice for all the scenes. xD
