Well here's another old cover turned new. Took a while...i've worked on this project and put it down many times, but i finally finished it and im proud of it. I find it kind of amazing that it was possible to squeeze six N163 channels into the mere three channels the VRC6 provides, but i did it. There's also a shitload of experimentation here, mostly using the triangle channel for something other than bass. Though this song rocks no matter how it sounds, but hopefully i've showcased what the VRC6 can truly do when used effectively.

Something i admire about Harmony of Dissonance was the fact that it only remixed two songs from other entries, that being Vampire Killer and the Famicom-only Name Entry song from Castlevania I. This remix in particular is like an entirely different song from the original, and i cant get enough of it. So i covered it.
Also, side note. I still havent figured out why the video and audio get desynced, so i hope its not too much of an issue.

Circle of the Moons tracks are all really good, i just wish it had more original songs. However, most of the tracks from other games were improved quite a bit and i think Clockwork got the best makeover. Its practically a totally different song than the original from CVIII.
I wanted to finish Season 3 of my adventures with FamiTracker by covering a song ive already done, albeit LONG ago. Since this songs fairly short it was a bit easier to do than my last cover, though as per usual i descended into Pxx Hell to get it sounding good. And i think it does.

So heres something new: my first cover of a song that isnt from a video game! Ive known about this original from MovieMovies1 for at least a year now, so when i saw he made a MIDI available of the GXSCC version, i got to work on my own cover. While my cover is still based on the original YM2608 version (linked below), i used the GXSCC version as a template for my sound design. Its kind of like a console-accurate recreation of the GXSCC version, ...save for the fact i used two expansion chips. Gotta love that FDS bass though/

So this one was quite the bitch to get right. The entire second part of the song is really wacky when you split it up. Parts often jump octaves and go higher and lower than others, and its just overall a pain of a song. But it sounds nice, so i did this.

Ive wanted to cover this track for a while, but i always thought it sounded a bit empty...that is, until i found Teckworks MIDI version on VGMusic.com. It has a lot more going on and overall just sounds better. So i figured id translate his work into a FamiTracker project. The accompaniment on the VRC6 is entirely his work: i simply ported it into FamiTracker.
