Sing For The Void was the most recent song I wrote for this album, as a tribute to the whole purpose of this album: Putting yourself out there for nobody and everybody; But most of all, for yourself. I’ve always wanted to release music on a bigger scale and because I didn’t have a lot to do this summer, I decided to dedicate my time into making this album a reality. I wanted this album to focus on the idea of writing about your own experiences and throwing them out into the void, hoping that it will reach someone else out there. When I sing, I use it as a way to release my emotions, to really connect with the song and feel what the artist is trying to convey. Even when I’m practicing alone in my room for no one else to hear but myself, I still give it my all because when I get into the zone, I loose myself in the music. Being inspired by those amazingly talented artists and their emotionally powerful songs, I started writing about my own experiences and I would sing them in my room. I eventually compiled a total of 4 fully completed songs to publish, all centered around the theme of singing about my personal experiences. The 5th and final song is just to serve as a good closing piece to tie the whole album together.
Hello everybody! The final song for my first semi-professionally produced album has been released! The whole album will be released sometime soon! I just wanted to say to everyone who has supported the creation of the album thus far, thank you so much for the amazing, nay, PHENOMENAL support for “Sing For The Void”! It really means so much to me that you guys enjoy my songs this much. Unfortunately this will be the end for now as I get back to college, but I hope to be able to release more songs in the future! After a combined total of over 40 hours of work, this absolute BEAST of a project is FINALLY DONE! I’m so incredibly happy with how this turned out! Even though it’s sketchy, simplified, and not fully colored, my main goal was just to practice conveying space, emotion, staging, and animating in general. After my previous animatic almost a year ago now, I’ve wanted to do another one but hadn’t had the inspiration or time to do so. But after getting into the JRWI D&D podcast, seeing all the talented community members drawing fanart, animatics on YouTube, and also finally learning to play D&D myself on campus, I instantly felt a wave of creative inspiration. With the recent drop of episode 86 with that EPIC fight scene and two phenomenal monologues, I knew I had to animate it! Plus I got to practice animating stick fighters, learn how to plan/animate choreography, and adding sound fx! I hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it!
