Happy New Year, everyone! This video has been in the works for a little while now. I wanted to post it for the first anniversary of my grandmother's passing, which was right around solstice, but this month has been hectic, so I decided as long as I got it done before New Year I'd be okay with that! And here we are! It's still Dec. 31 in my time zone! =)
This video is a compilation of damn near every clip from my videos that Grams has been in over the years. Some of these clips were the only piece of the entire video that she was in. A few clips here are never-before-seen videos I had on my phone that are from last year and hadn't been posted anywhere yet.
Unlike the video clips which mainly come from my previous videos, most--if not all--of the photos included here will be new to you viewers. Many are ones I took with my phone in the past few years, and others are photos I took of older photos of Grams and my grandfather, last year when we were preparing photo displays and a slideshow for the funeral. It's far from all of them, but I chose a few of my favorites.
The background music is "Ave Maria" played by me on flute. It's a very short piece from a book of music that Grams had at her house, which ended up with me years ago. My partner was in the middle of composing an original guitar piece for this video when the guitar broke, and we haven't been able to get it repaired yet... but I still liked the idea of making the music more personal. So I chose a piece that I knew Grams would like. I'm no expert at any instrument, but I played a lot in high school, and Grams was at every concert.
For those who don't know, maybe who are new to my channel and haven't "met" Grams yet, she was from a small town in Italy, hence the accent. =)
In memory of Grams, who lives on each day through our memory. I hope you enjoy this little celebration of her! =)
