One thing that isn't mentioned in the Wargear Screen, but is present during battle, is that in order to train Kasrkin bodyguards for the command squad, you must have Ibram's Vestment Wargear. This is a reference to Ibram Gaunt, which was the Colonel-Commissar of the Tanith First and Only. Ibram Gaunt is a character created by Dan Abnett in his excellent "Gaunt's Ghosts" series of books. While an excellent reference, it seems like instead of allowing Kasrkin, perhaps adding a specialized Tanith Scout-Sniper squad would have made more sense. Or perhaps a second command squad led by Gaunt in which you are able to train some of the other unique characters like Corbec, Bragg, or Larkin.

The Imperial Guard was originally added in Winter Assault. With the anniversary edition released, it should be available to everyone now.
