The Commando is a support weapon capable of taking out nearly any enemy in Helldivers 2 without much difficulty, but in a convenient, portable package. The relatively short cooldown and zero bullet drop make it a versatile weapon that can flex up handle factory striders. The lower damage rockets can stretch the ammo economy further than EATs, giving you the choice to expend fewer rockets for great economy, or fire more rockets to handle heavies in a flash.

The commando is not as good on the Squid front, due to limited target opportunities. On Bots, the Commando really shines in the target rich environment, destroying most heavies as well as many side objectives. Particularly good against AA guns as well as mortar emplacements, but is also able to snipe fabricators. The Commando also does well on the bug front, eliminating all heavies, as well as many side objectives.
