If you're into self development, visualisation is a very powerful tool for working directly with our subconscious. Creative visualisation involves using your imagination to prime your mind with the various goals you wish to achieve, for example; improving your self image, gaining substantial wealth, losing weight, getting a better job etc. Over time, with repeated practice those goals are going to become so ingrained into your mind that it will become easier to go out and actually take action on them.
Because we want all our energy to be invested in creating new 'mental programmes', the best time for creative visualisation is while in a rested state, away from other mentally taxing activities. The THETA and ALPHA brainwave states are perfect for generating mental imagery and ensuring that they pierce the threshold of your conscious mind, deep into the limitless storehouse of your subconscious. It is our subconscious which holds the beliefs we have about ourselves and the world around us, including strengths, weaknesses, perceived limitations, and what you believe to be true or false. By purposely setting aside the time to visualise we can become authors of our own perceived reality.
::SPECS::
To help you further settle into the necessary receptive brainwave state we have embedded Binaural Beats and Amplitude Modulation with frequencies ranging from 4-10hz, with a brief 1hz delta wave towards the end to relax you further in preparation for sleep if listening before bed.
::INSTRUCTIONS::
Set aside some time when you're sure you won't be distracted. A good time to listen is before bed. Set your volume to a low-medium level.
1) Sit or lie down comfortably and put on your headphones. Close your eyes. Relax all of the muscle groups in your body. Empty your mind by focusing on your breathing.
2) Imagine: The second step of the creative visualization process is imagining your intended outcome. Imagine your ideal reality as if experiencing it in the present moment. Bring the pictures to life as if watching a movie.... make the colours bright and indulge all your other senses. Be creative!
3) Feel. This part is important... You must really feel what it would feel like if you already had that which you have mentally pictured. Use your emotions to bring your mental movie to life!
Consistent use of this technique can be very powerful!
One advantage of using this particular track repeatedly is that the mental imagery will become 'anchored' to the music, so that every time you revisit this session, the imagery will become stronger, more vivid and as a result, more ingrained into your psychological makeup.
For more information on manifestation and creative visualisation, I recommend Maxwell Maltz' book 'Psycho Psybernetics'.
