I looked at my calendar for the next 3 months and realized I have almost 0 time to myself (let alone my family). I'm shooting a documentary for PBS in the field, I have a new season of my Science show, and I even have a few more top secret shows in the works that I will explain shortly. I just don't feel that I have the sanity to create a useful video for you all, while I'm running around and putting my heart and sole into these other productions as well. Thus, I wanted to at least give you an update. I would love to return in the fall, strong and ready to produce content that's helpful to the community.
I'm not sure if any of you out there care so much though. I do want to say that all of your comments and encouragement means a lot to me. In fact, I'm kind of gutted that I can't do more over the summer. I think Jonas would say the same. Jonas said he's going to continue to produce videos on occasion throughout the summer - albeit on a somewhat less consistent basis.
If you want to be notified when we upload something in the future though, I highly recommend you turn on the "notifications" button for this channel. YouTube has great power in what it shows you, and if I disappear for a few months, I may very well disappear permanently from most of your feeds.
