🧶 Pattern
Start with a magic ring, or ch 4 and join with a sl st to form a ring. Ch 1.
Round 1:
Sc into ring, ch 2.
(Sc, ch 2) 3 more times into ring, replacing final ch-2 with hdc into first sc to join.
(4 corner spaces made)
Round 2:
Ch 1 and turn.
Sc in same corner sp, ch 2.
* (Sc, ch 2, sc) in next corner sp, ch 2; rep from * around.
End with sc in first corner sp, hdc into first sc to join.
(4 corners and 4 ch-2 side spaces made)
Round 3 (Repeat Round):
Ch 1 and turn. Sc in same corner sp, ch 2.
* Sc in next ch-2 sp (side), ch 2, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner sp, ch 2; rep from * around.
End with sc in first corner sp, hdc into first sc to join.
(4 corners and 8 ch-2 side spaces made)
To Continue:
Rep Rnd 3 until desired size is reached.
Each new round makes 4 corner spaces and adds 1 more ch-2 space to each side.
