This is my favorite way to have grilled cheese right now.
With holiday cooking and all the craziness, I've been doing a lot of "easy meals" and this keeps on hitting the spot.
It's my cinnamon apple with New Zealand honey and chili crisp grilled cheddar sandwich, plus an alcohol free Gin and Tonic that I am LOVING.
Recipe:
Sautee your apples in butter with a little cinnamon, when they are soft remove them from the pan.
Butter your bread and add sliced sharp cheddar, your stewed apples and on the other slice of bread spread your honey and add chili crisp. Top with a little more cheese and cover the sandwich. Add a peeled garlic clove into the pan before covering it and let it cook on low heat.
When you've reached peak crispy and cheese meltiness, remove the sandwich, rub the toasted bread with your now soft garlic and enjoy!
