Did you know that there are two types of nerve endings on the human body, that help to distinguish between cold and warm. It is estimated that there are about 250,000 points that perceive cold on the surface of the skin, and only about 30,000 points for heat. The difference is almost 10 times, which means that feeling cold is much more important for human survival. Cold sharply sharpens the sense of the value of life, and that’s probably one of the reasons why I’m attracted to it. If you have ever plunged into an ice hole, then you have already taken the first step towards understanding what the cold is for a person.
