We drove 1800km across Altai region and Chuysky trakt (Highway R-256) that is included by National Geographic in the top 10 most beautiful highways in the world. Altai is a republic in Western Siberia, Russia taht borders Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia. More than 80% of the republic is covered by mountains. The Altai Mountains are among the oldest on the planet. The first people came here in ancient times - some archaeological artifacts found date back to an unimaginable 282 thousand years ago.
