There has been some discussion recently about whether my barebow tab sear is legal under current rules. Rather than speculate or argue in comments, I decided to sit down and go directly to the rulebook.
In this video I break down what the rules actually say about tab sears, flexibility, adjustability, triggers, and the spirit of the game. I explain why my tab sear is fully legal based on the written language and why vague interpretations can quickly create contradictions.
We look at:
• What “flexible” actually means
• The difference between moveable and adjustable
• Whether a tab sear functions as a trigger
• The physics argument about flex
• The spirit of the game discussion
Barebow relies heavily on athlete integrity and trust. The rules are written clearly in some areas and loosely in others, and understanding that difference matters.
