1. I’m really bad at visualizing things ahead, and it’s my first time knitting a saddle construction. It’s like a puzzle! I’d really appreciate it if you could deeper for us about the construction? So far my main trouble is finding out whether the saddle length + the back yoke colourwork = the yoke depth. Thank you!!!
2. Hi Andrea! I just finished a tubular bind off for the armhole of your vest pattern and I made the bind off so tight because I was worried the armhole was too big! Is there any hope of unpicking it or should I just try to cut it off and start the ribbing over? Thanks for your weekly podcast - it’s part of my Friday ritual!
3. Hi Andrea! I have some precious Brooklyn Tweed Imbue Sport in stash from when they were destocking (RIP), and I wanted to make a cardigan with it since I already have some buttons that would match the color of the yarn (the yarn is a rusty red and the buttons are cream with rust flecks: chef's kiss!). The Comebackigan is one I'm thinking about, but my buttons are much smaller than the ones you used and would look too small on that buttonband. 4. antipodes question, I’m confused in the pattern for the back yoke saddle, once you bind off the 11 stitches the next row has a MIL, should this increase happen every other row for the 6.5” until the 11 stitches are cast on again?
5. For the Antipodes sweater, what would be the best way to add bust darts or otherwise accommodate for a larger chest without messing up the colorwork? Ysolda Blog: ysolda.com/blogs/journal/bust-darts-in-sweaters-with-all-over-stitch-patterns
6. I really want to knit the Antipodes pattern, but I find knitting colorwork flat on the purl/wrong side very difficult. My tension varies between being too loose and too tight. 7. Hi Andrea! I have a health (and knitting!) question for you. I have recently received some diagnoses that are causing me to need to make some space in my life. I remember that you took medical leave a while back due to health issues. I was wondering if you would be willing to share some of the things that you felt helped you most. Did you make food changes? Create boundaries around your time? Say no to a lot of things? Also, how did you incorporate knitting into your time of rest and recovery when it is also part of your job? Thank you for always sharing and supporting all of us who are fiber enthusiasts and also struggle with our health. It’s always so encouraging to hear you share about your health journey. Thanks!
