Welcome to I’ll Knit (& Spin!) If I want To! I asked y’all to send in some of your questions (from everything from fiber arts, to designing and on!) so I could put together a little video for y’all every Friday doing my best to answer your questions!

1. Hi Andrea, long time follower of your podcast here. I already have two of your DRK Everyday cardigans. They are brilliant, I love the collar and have added pockets to mine. Now I want to make a third - and effectively turn it into a longline cardigan that ends mid-thigh to knee level. I've "cadiganized" the Traveller Hoodie and by accident it came out too long (if only I could read my tape measure, I just knit too long before separating for sleeves, oops) so length-wise it's around the fullest part of my hips but it's a bit on the right side. I conclude I will need to increase to make it fall nicely over my hips. What is the best way to do this? Like in a circular yoke? Like a raglan? Something else? Help, please! Thanks for all you do for us! 40” chest
1. I am planning on making the Nebula with long sleeves and I am hoping this idea can work. I want to make the shoulder ribbing/colar and cuffs a different colour and I just wanted to check if there are going to be multiple points that I would need to stop and start on the shoulders to be able to do this because the shoulder ribbing is knitted in stages? Hopefully I have described it properly. Thank you for your help in advance. Have a great weekend.
3. I've knitted several of your patterns, most recently the Poppy and LOVE it! My question is a bit of a follow-up to last week's discussion about gauge and swatches. I'm an experienced knitter but still sometimes struggle with swatches that lie. What is your opinion about swatching in the round vs. knitting back and forth for a pattern that is knit in the round. I really don't enjoy swatching in the round because it's messy lol. How big do you recommend a swatch should be? I'll make it as big as it should be but let's face it - I'd rather be knitting the thing, not a swatch. I'm guessing this topic has been covered previously but maybe some of us could use a refresher. Thank you for all of your incite and helpful tips!
4. I’m planning on making your Metamorphic sweater. When I look at your pictures, it looks like the sleeves are identical in terms of how the Dyed In The Wool color changes appear on each sleeve. Is that right? It seems like that would make the sweater look symmetrical, which would be great. But how do you make that happen given all the color changes in the yarn? Or do you just let the chips (or, in this case, the colors fall where they may)? Thank you so much!
5. First, thank you for sharing so openly about your health challenges over the years. I was recently diagnosed with a condition that requires me to follow a very strict diet, and if I don't, I end up in significant pain. One thing I've been struggling with emotionally is the constant feeling of "why me?" I try to take good care of myself, and sometimes it's hard not to compare myself to people around me who seem able to make unhealthy choices and yet don't face health challenges. It can feel frustrating and unfair. You mentioned recently getting glutened and not feeling well afterward, which made me wonder: have you ever struggled with those same "why me?" thoughts? If so, how did you move past them, or learn to live with them in a healthier way?
