Welcome to I’ll Knit (& Spin!) If I want To! I asked y’all to send in some of your questions (from everything from fiber arts, to designing and on!) so I could put together a little video for y’all every Friday doing my best to answer your questions!

In this week’s episode we cover:
1. Hello! I just attended Rhinebeck for the 3rd time and met you "on the hill" for the 2nd time last weekend. Thank you (and to the Spincycle and FDF crew) for being so generous with your time for all of your fans! My question is this: I knitted my Ooey Gooey in Candice's Version and I got SO many complements on it at the festival! The only issue I am having is that my collar stretched out after wearing it for a short time. I went down a needle size on the body of my sweater because I tend to be a loose knitter, but was worried that knitting the collar on a size 1 needle might be too tight for the neckline. I think I was wrong! I knitted the collar in the recommended size 2:(. Is there any way to save my neckline? I have thought about frogging the neckline but with the short rows I am nervous to undo it. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much for inspiring me to not be afraid to try new techniques in knitting!
2. I noticed in a photo I saw of you on social media that you had a purchased some of the new Shear yarn from Harrisville Designs at Rhinebeck. I had purchased some online on Friday, and am curious if you will be using it for a new design?! I have the DK weight and would GLADLY hold onto it, if you anticipate releasing a pattern in that particular yarn. If not, would you mind sharing what project you plan on knitting with it? Thanks so much 💗

3. I am planning to make your wonderful traveler shawl with DMC Pirouette yarn held together with Scheepjes Whirlette. (I am using up two different colors of the Pirouette and am adding the Whirlette in a solid color to tie these two colors together.) Since the yarn is bigger than the yarn suggested for the pattern I was wondering which of the two sizes I should follow the pattern for (and why). What would you suggest?
4. I have just watched your tutorial on combined knitting in the round. Might just be a game changer for me since I was switching from Continental knitting to English style if I ever had to purl! I just couldn’t get that darn purl stitch.
I was wondering if this is your go to method when ribbing?

5. Hi, I’m a new knitter and knitting my first sweater. My question is what are your recommendations when going from one skein of yarn to another? Do you just weave it in like color change or do you do a special knot like I’ve seen some do with magic knot etc.? When using fingering weight yarn the weaving in doesn’t seem to show but using the worsted weight I see the line inside the sweater where I’ve weaved it in. Thank you so much for your advice. Love watching your podcast each week ♥️
