Welcome to I’ll Knit (& Spin!) If I want To! I asked y’all to send in some of your questions (from everything from fiber arts, to designing and on!) so I could put together a little video for y’all every Friday doing my best to answer your questions!

1. Thank you for sharing such valuable information and helpful tutorials! I'm knitting a Nebula right now and catching up on some of your weekly podcasts while recovering from a surgery. It was so fun to be confidently adjusting the short rows in this pattern to fit my body's needs and style preferences while listening to the question on short rows for this pattern from last week. (PS also listening to Project Hail Mary and completely agree on everything you said!)
I have a question about advancing knitting along a circular needle. Even when I use the suggested circular needle length I find myself having to stop knitting and push and slide my work around. I've have good strategies on how to hold tension on the working yarn but would love to hear your trips about inch-worming the fabric across my needles. Is there a 'negative ease' of sorts for the needle cable length that's ideal to help this move more fluidly?
2. I have been spinning on a wheel for about 3 years. I can spin fingering weight singles, maybe even between lace and fingering. I ply 2 singles together and it ends up being a sport weight. When i finish by soaking and thwacking, it really blooms so almost a DK weight. What is causing this. Am I under plying?
3. How to alter a round yoke for a thin chest. Have made 2 so far and look sad on me. How do I make one size on the front and another on the back?
4. I live in Paris and your DRK Everyday cowl is the first project I have ever knitted (and I fell in love with the craft and your designs). I would like to knit more of your patterns and I was wondering which shawl and / or sweater you will recommend for a beginner eager to learn. Thank you for your advice ! PS : It is my understanding you love audiobooks, so I would like to recommend Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and We have always lived in the castle.

5. What are those rolls behind you? Are they sewing patterns? Can you share how you organize your sewing patterns? / Not a knitting question, but I wanted to ask where you get the material/fabric to make your clothing? You have inspired me to start to dabble in sewing some clothes! Fingers crossed, I am much better at knitting.
