Engineering Master’s student Igor Sterner pitched details of his work on the linguistic phenomenon of code-switching – the process of shifting from one language or dialect (linguistic code) to another, depending on the social context or conversational setting.

Igor was one of 18 presenters who was challenged to pitch her innovative idea to an audience, including a panel of judges, in just three minutes, as part of the #FallingWalls Lab Cambridge: eng.cam.ac.uk/news/competition-challenges-students-and-researchers-communicate-impact-ideas-three-minutes

The Falling Walls Lab Cambridge was organised by the Department of Engineering, @cambridgeuniversity, the Federal Foreign Office of Germany; and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
