👏Clapping Techniques👏
Young infants enjoy having you hold their hands and clap them together.
Try not to hold onto older infants’ and toddlers’ hands during clapping activities. Rather, have the child rest his/her palms on top of your palms. Tap up onto the child’s palms while singing the song. Later, sing the song with the child’s hands resting in yours, but do not move your hands. Often the child will provide the missing action, clapping onto your hands.
