For years I have beat myself up for my anxiety…
I wondered why I just couldn’t do things like everyone else without constant worry, overthinking, or panic.
It is exhausting, and still is.
But something I am realizing and starting to accept this year: I am just wired differently, and that is okay.
Sure, it doesn’t make navigating life any easier when society expects you to navigate the world in a way that wasn’t built for you, but acknowledging it is okay to be wired differently can stop the shame cycle around it.
So hey, if you struggle with anxiety or any sort of mental health issues, I just want you to know that you are not alonea and it’s okay to be wired differently.
There is nothing wrong with you. Society just likes to make you think there is.
We might have a harder time navigating through the world, but it is okay to do things in a way that works for you. Just don’t let it stop you from living the life you want.
And that, is what I will contiue to work on in 2026.
Do you struggle with anxiety too? What do you feel is the hardest thing for you to navigate due to your anxiety? How do you feel your anxiety has held you back?
