Two things can be true at the same time.
There was good.
There was love.
There were intentions that came from a real place in my heart.
And there was also insecurity.
A need for validation.
A lot of learning that hadn’t happened yet.
For a long time, I thought being “on track” meant getting it right.
Making the right choices, having it all figured out, and looking confident while doing it.
But the truth is... so much of my growth came from the seasons where I was very clearly NOT getting it right.
I hurt people, missed things, and I tried to control what I didn’t yet understand.
And still... I was on track.
If you look back at older versions of yourself and feel embarassment, discomfort, or even grief... that doesn’t mean you failed.
It usually means you were learning in real time.
Even when I was off track, I was on track. 🩷
