"Super Mario Bros. Crossover" is a fan-made crossover platform Flash video-game launched on Newgrounds on April 27, 2010 by Exploding Rabbit. It is based mostly on the gameplay of Nintendo's "Super Mario Bros." for the NES. The only major difference is the ability to control characters that debuted in other Nintendo Entertainment System games unrelated to the Mario series, plus the ability to use "skins" of levels and characters from other games and platforms. The latest version available (3.1.21) was released on December 27, 2013. The game's levels and graphics are all primarily duplicates of those found in "Super Mario Bros.", each of the game's 8 worlds feature 4 levels. In three of the levels, the goal is to reach a checkpoint to complete the level, while the final level has the player facing against Bowser in hopes of rescuing Princess Peach. Enemies such as Goombas, Koopa Troopas and Hammer Bros. will block the player's attempt to make it successfully through the level. As Mario and Luigi, the player can jump on enemies to kill them, use Koopa shells to knock enemies over, and acquire powerups from special blocks that serve to boost health, shoot fireballs, or remain invincible for a short period of time. Besides completing the level, the player can also earn coins and points, attempting to achieve a high score. Crossover varies this formula by adding in several additional main characters in addition to Mario that the player can play. In the same manner as with "Super Mario Bros. 2", the player selects one of the additional characters at the start of each level. Each character, based on other classic Nintendo Entertainment System games, uses different attacks and movements that are related to their original game, as well as their own signature music. These characters are: Link, Mega Man, Samus Aran, Simon Belmont, Bill Rizer, Ryu Hayabusa, Sophia the 3rd, Luigi & Bass (from Mega Man 10). In the version 2.0 update, character skins were a new and unique feature that allowed all characters to look different and have new music along with them. Some skins are the same character but from a different game in their respective franchise, while others are from completely different franchises. The 3.0 update added additional character skins, special rendering modes to mimic other earlier computer gaming hardware, and levels inspired by the limited-release Super Mario Bros. Special. A Koopas Revenge 2 (also known as AKRII or AKR2) is an online platform-game developed by and published by Lambtaco. The game was released on September 16, 2014 through their site, lambta.co and Newgrounds (categorized as Hop n Bop). Heres a brief summary of the story behind this game: After avenging his murdered Galoomba friends by killing Marios gang, then rescuing the others who were kidnapped, Koopas joy is cut short by by the unexpected departure of an airship. An airship lead by Mario who survived in the final confrontation from the first game, which has on board Bowser as a prisoner. Being a quick thinker, our hero takes one of Bowsers airships & follows Marios until they reach a distant continent where the enemy reveals his weapons & fires some cannonballs to Koopas airship, half destroying it & forcing him to land at the edge of this unknown island. Not only that, but Mario also turned all 8 Koopalings into star-coins & hid them all over this mysterious continent, using a Magic Wand & also using its powers he turned a few stolen objects (a soda can, a bowl of salad & spaghetti, a hamburger & an umbrella) into monsters who resembles the bosses from this realm. There are 5 worlds in this cool flash-game, all of them having various biomes & climates: Grass, Snow, Desert, Forest & Sky lands. All these beautiful & unique worlds have many enemies you get to deal with: Toadlets (Goomba mushrooms), Paratoadlet (flying Goomba mushrooms), Beebees (evil bees), Baby Bros. (baby dolls recreations of Marios ex-gang), Yoshis (dinosaurs that comes in various colors), Piranha Shroom (mushroom carnivorous plants), Bricklets ( foes disguised as bricks to trick you to hit them to take damage), Mummy Toadlets (Mushrooms that are mummies), Dry Fossil (undead/skeleton Yoshis), Ghosts, Phinphin (dolphins with moods), Plooper (mushroom squids), Mallet Bros. (Toads that throw hammers at you) etc. These levels have lots of well-done sections like underground, underwater, pyramids, airships with various secret exits & shortcuts that leads you to new & hidden areas. There are great power-ups like: Fire Flower, Power Petal, Electric Flower, Bone Petal etc. too that gives you abilities such as : shooting fireballs/thunders, wings/cape to fly or to slightly float, spikes to break blocks & kill enemies that has spikes on their body too, turning into statues to crush your opponents, throw hammers/bullets, swim faster & climb walls with ease, durability to swim in lava/acid & see the ghosts that leads your path into finding the secrets of this big & mysterious continent. Speaking of secrets, there are many to be revealed, such as the Space Jump & Screw Attack from Super Metroid video-game series, which allows you to create an electric shock while rotating in mid-air, making you invincible against any attack & giving a lot of damage to enemies & bosses. Or the Rush Coil from the Mega Man video-game series, which when used, the robot-dog Rush will appear and a coil platform emerges from his body, which can be used to propel your player to higher areas by jumping on it. There are a lot like infinite lives item & Switch Palaces just like in Super Mario World to be discovered that unlocks more blocks with many coins & items in it. Want more content like this?
