Welcome to part 2 of my full playthrough of NODE. This is a brand new 2.5D atmospheric puzzle platformer that drops us right into a massive, abandoned Cold War nuclear facility called Toska. The eerie sci-fi vibes in this one are incredible, and it definitely scratches that itch for a haunting, isolated experience.
We play as an autonomous AI robot tasked with navigating this decaying Soviet ruin to stop an imminent catastrophe. In this first episode, we are getting a feel for the unique timeline sequencing mechanics and exploring the dark corridors of the complex to figure out what went wrong. The game blends beautiful realistic 2D and 3D environments, and the dynamic lighting makes every single room feel tense and full of secrets. I am doing a full walkthrough of this game, so we will be hunting down all the hidden paths, checking out the branching dialogues, and piecing together exactly what happened to this place.
If you enjoy indie puzzle platformers with deep stories and a dark, atmospheric twist, hit that like button and subscribe for the rest of the series so you don't miss the next episode. Let me know in the comments what you think of the facility so far and how you feel about the timeline puzzle mechanics.
