And that fear endured well after I converted to Catholicism. Movies like the Exorcist were a sure way to encourage me to say my bed time prayers. But after I read the biography of St. Anthony the Great, by St. Athanasius, I found that fear fade away. But more than that, I learned that if demons aren't in the habit of bothering you, it could be a sign of a very serious problem.
