Baseline dependency is cognitive dependency. Every detection system in your OT security stack creates systematic cognitive biases that train your team to miss novel threats while overinvesting in yesterday's attack patterns.
Any detection system that’s surfacing threats is also shaping how defenders/analysts are thinking about them. There’s no perfect answer but Margaret shows how revealing biases can serve as a powerful debiasing techniques.
It is ultimately not a critique of tooling at all but about helping teams understand how their mental models of risk evolve through repeated interaction with detection systems.
