Working, getting older, losing friends, losing lovers. Elizabeth Mitchell, and Daniel Littleton, hit these marks with finesse, passion, and really great harmony. "There's something pulling me back under your covers/But a woman who knows better sees that it's time to leave" is a wonderful couplet in F. Boyfriend/Baroque Boyfriend that says just enough about the relationship and the narrator, presumably Elizabeth Mitchell: It's not the best relationship, and that they're too immature to leave it. But we have to go through these things to become that someone who knows better. Especially when we're losing friends because we're so busy with other things (Temping) that they can't help us.
And then there's Dollface and Dog Show. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I think they interrupt the flow of the album more than anything else. More so Dog Show.
I hadn't really been much for music, lately. My last upload was a month ago with 33.3's self-titled. But this just really swept me away. One of my most enjoyed discoveries in a long time; I really do adore this album. I'm almost sad that I've nearly got all I can out of it and will eventually look for new albums to absorb. Coupons is incredible, ditto for Looking Through The Glass. What a work.
