Why upload this separately from the previous one? It's very curious to me that the tracks featured here were slowed down for the CD bonus release of April, and I wanted to highlight that difference with two separate uploads. I actually prefer these versions so much more, and the Barcelona recording is just gorgeous. I submit that Tonight In Bilbao is worthy of the title of "classic". Such lovely guitar work, each note dancing gracefully in your ear, replete with memories of meeting potential friends and lovers, leaving them behind, the simple pleasures of driving and eating bread.
The rest of the songs are just as easy on the ears. I definitely prefer this acoustic The Light over the album April version, ditto Tonight The Sky. It's easy to see why they are the way they are on April; you couldn't put the alternate version of The Light directly after Lost Verses with that ending two minute electric guitar jam without it being too incongruous. I actually think this Tonight The Sky version would have been just fine on April.
I wish I could say more about Like The River. I love it very much, the verse:
"I have all these memories, I don't know what for
I have them and I can't help it
Some overflow and spill like waves
some I will harbor
For all of my days"
These precious, fleeting moments. We can't hold them all.
