This video shows id refusal to Canadian constable Alena Fiala of the Chatham-kent police service in Ontario Canada.
When asked the direct question of why she pulled this citizen driver over. Constable Alena Fiala states "I was doing a property check in the area, we had a B and E the other day".
This statement is made twice!
Then demands that he Identify himself.
After the man refuses to give up his right to privacy based on the fact that he has no obligation to identify unless arrested in Canada.
Constable Alena Fiala then tries to say that she pulled over this man under highway traffic act.
If you are pulled over under the highway traffic act in Canada you must Identify with a valid drivers driving permit.
Does the Canadian charter not protect this man from having his identity searched. The officer had 2 opportunities to make up some fake traffic violation. Instead because she believes she is a good honest cop. She tells the driver exactly why he is detained. Though she doesn't ever claim the driver committed a crime or violated the highway traffic act. It was only when the man refused to identity did she even mention the highway traffic act.
We can clearly see in this quick short that constable Alena Fiala thinks she can pull over anyone for any reason and make them identify to her.
How embarrassing for this Tyrant female police officer.
