ICTP kicked off its 60th anniversary celebration by acknowledging the generous support of its key supporters: the Italian government, the IAEA, and UNESCO. ICTP Director Atish Dabholkar also thanked local representatives from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the City of Trieste. Messages of appreciation were shared from the following dignitaries: Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister MAECI, Italy; Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General, IAEA; and Lidia Arthur Brito, Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences, UNESCO. Local authorities included Fabio Scoccimarro, Representative of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, and Roberto Dipiazza, Mayor of Trieste.
