This summer at ICP, the conversation around fashion extends beyond the gallery walls.
In this video, ICP Registrar Branden Wallace shares what students can expect from "ICP × Mana Collections: The Garment District," a workshop led by Wallace and ICP Director of Collections Cara Dellatte.
Through guided discussions and hands-on examination of materials from the Garment District's past, participants will explore how the neighborhood was shaped by migration, labor, and fashion. Along the way, students will develop strategies for researching, organizing, and interpreting collections while building critical frameworks for working with material culture.
To make participation more accessible, this workshop has been moved from Mana Contemporary in New Jersey to ICP on New York's Lower East Side.
