The Xema2 is Icaro's new reversible harness with a backpack sized for everyday use. The company say it is designed with safety in mind, having an under-seat reserve container and an airbag with a pre-inflation spring for protection on launch. There is also the option of adding extra protection in the shape of a Lightshield upper-back protector. It is suitable for beginners through to XC pilots for everyday soaring and cross-country flying while still being light enough for hike-and-fly. We tested it out in the south of France.
